Changes to Stamp Duty 30th June 2021
From today, 30th June 2021, the Stamp Duty holiday will start to be phased out. Marking the end of a helpful, year-long incentive for homebuyers.
Capital Gains Tax (CGT) Reminder Issued by HMRC
If you have sold or disposed of a UK residential property (including part interest in one) since April 2020, they may need to report this and pay Capital Gains Tax (CGT) within 30 days of completion. HMRC have today issued a reminder regarding this.

The property market is seeing a rapid increase in homebuyers swapping big city life for the fresh sea air. Out of all property sales this year, sales in seaside and rural locations across the UK are the only ones to surpass the number of transactions in 2019. There has also been an increase in demand for commercial property close to the seaside, with many up-and-coming local businesses setting up shop near the coast.
